Billy Ray Morgan is a multidisciplinary artist, designer, and fabricator based in New York City. Growing up in a family of metal and wood-workers, Morgan incorporates his fabrication background and his former career in fashion into his art practice. His work has been exhibited in numerous museums and gallery shows, including Billy Ray Morgan: Pop Up, Industry City, NY (2023); Wardell Milan: Amerika. God Bless You If It's Good To You, Bronx Museum of Art, NY (2021); SOFA Chicago, Monica King Contemporary, NY (2020); Timber!, curated by Hannah Martin, Wanted Design, NY (2019); Out of Line, Long Gallery, Harlem, NY (2018); The Least Orthodox Goddess IV, curated by Jasmine Wahi, Jenkins Johnson Gallery, NY (2018); and Out of Step, Living Gallery, NY (2017), among others.
